grandMA3 Software Version 1.4 | MA Lighting
MA Lighting has released the latest version grandMA3 Sofware 1.4. This new version offers many improvements to continuously improve the basic workflow, as well as adding new features to diversify the lighting control experience. In addition, it marks a fundamental step in the evolution of lighting control software and introduces new concepts of Recipes and Magic (MA grid interpolation concept).
The enhanced recursive Selection function supports easy tree-structure selection not only for fixtures but for any object. The famous MAtricks tool has been extended from Selection Tool to a full three-dimensional manipulation tool for Phase, Speed, Fade, Delay and some Invert Value and Invert Encoder functions.
MAtricks integrates seamlessly with the new way to create and edit Phasers. The streamlined UI – called the Phaser Editor – is available right from the Encoder bar and now stores step edits. On all Presets, Programmer and Cue-Parts, Recipes are adjustable – the most efficient way to prepare your program in advance, change components, and then re-edit individual parts or the entire program!
In addition to the optimized 3D window for better performance, there are also different selection modes to copy any selection straight to the grid view. The color picker has been improved to add new colors that allow the common use of GDTF color information to match the colors of different fixtures.
Working in playback, the handling of Sequences and Sequence Sheets has been improved for a faster workflow. And the enhanced Copy function for Cues, Cue-Content and all other objects is very useful when editing and adjusting later. This is combined with all the improvements to Timecode and Timecode Editor to make creating and editing Timecode Shows much smoother. New Event Symbols and easy access to Time-markers allow for a smarter overview.
New protocols implementedsuch as RDM support workflow improvements for touring as well as fixed installations. There are many more small improvements, bug fixes from the previous version and feature adjustments to the implemented functionality that make the programming experience better and this also demonstrates MA Lighting’s ongoing commitment to improving the workflow for software users.
The grandMA3 software is the soul of the grandMA3 platform and is designed to meet current and future lighting control needs. MA Lighting continues to provide a lighting control tool for new and existing users of all types, to create new and exciting shows on any scale.
